Overview

This card allows you to use devices in parallel increasing speed and decreasing disk contention in demanding applications like database engines or video editing.

Interleaving SCSI devices between the two channels on this card increases reliability and performance. If one channel fails, you can easily move your devices to the remaining channel. For maximum reliability, you should use additional host adapter(s) and RAID hardware as required - Mylex DAC960PD-Ultra RAID controller available.

Ultra/Wide 40MB/s, but can transfer at 80MB/s (2* 40MB/s) using both channels

Two fully independent PCI SCSI channels bridged to system PCI bus

Support for 30 devices (15 per channel)

Advanced SCSI Features: Advanced SCSI Programming Interface (ASPI) compliant, Multitasking operating system support (through scatter/gather, disconnect/reconnect, tagged command queuing). Support for 255 simultaneous active SCSI commands per channel. Each channel is programmable via SCSISelect

Electrical Connectors: One 68 pin high density internal connector and one 68 pin high density external connector share channel A. One 68 pin, high density internal connector for channel B

Electrical Drivers: Single ended, active termination

PCI Bus: 32 bit, 33 MHz; single and dual address cycles. PCI local bus address and data parity generation
